Oasis Consulting Services is currently hiring a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to support our Canton, Georgia office and Metro Atlanta region. Applicants will be responsible for project management, report preparation, and monitoring job sites. Position requires travel as-needed. Level and pay commensurate with experience.
Job Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Geotechnical Director, the selected candidate(s) will be involved in the following field and office tasks:
- Geotechnical Engineering Evaluation and Subsurface Exploration
- Special Inspections and Construction Materials Testing Services
- Project management
- Report preparation or review of reports
- Field work, including sampling events or site visits
- Growth potential for employee supervision and management
- Limited travel possible
Requirements:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree a plus
- 2-4 years of professional experience related to engineering
- Preferred but not required: EIT or GIT certificate, 40-Hour HAZWOPER and 8-hour Refreshers
- Willingness to travel in order to complete field assignments
- Ability to work outdoors and in certain weather conditions
